FAQ & House Policies

Please reach us at scissorandfork@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Our goal is to create a space where great hair, good coffee, and genuine community co-exist.

To keep things running smoothly for our stylists, guests, and neighbors, we ask that everyone review the policies below before booking.

Respect & Community

Scissor & Fork was created as a welcoming and inclusive space.

We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or hate of any kind toward our staff or guests. Anyone violating this policy will be asked to leave and will be refused future service.

Respect is the baseline here.

We believe everyone deserves access to great hair and a welcoming space.

Scissor & Fork offers:

  • Ground-level entry

  • Accessible pathways throughout the salon and café

  • Flexible seating and service accommodations whenever possible

No call / no show:

Late Arrivals

We offer a 15 minute grace period for both clients and stylists.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment, and the cancellation policy may apply depending on the situation.

Our goal is to respect everyone's time.

Consultations

Major transformations, including color corrections, vivid color, or dramatic changes, may require a consultation before booking.

Consultations allow us to:

• understand your goals
• evaluate hair history and condition
• provide accurate timing and pricing

Hair history matters more than inspiration photos <3

Service Adjustments

We want you to love your hair.

If you have concerns about your service, please reach out within 7 days of your appointment so we can discuss possible adjustments.

Adjustments allow us the opportunity to refine the service if something didn’t land quite right.

Café

Yes, the café is real and open to everyone!

Guests are welcome to enjoy drinks or small bites during their appointment whenever possible. The café is also open to the public, so feel free to stop in even if you're not getting your hair done.

Good hair and good coffee should always co-exist.

Payment

Scissor & Fork is a cashless establishment.

We accept major credit cards and digital payment methods.

Photography

We occasionally photograph or film our work for social media or educational purposes.

If you prefer not to appear in photos or video, simply let your stylist know.
